MLK Day at the Philly Woodward Park...
Super Panorama at the Woodward Park in Philly
I spent a few hours celebrating MLK Day with a few million groms and micro-groms at the Woodward Skatepark in Philly. For ten bucks, it wasn't too crazy to get some for myself. Formerly an ESPN skatepark, Woodward Skate Camp recently took over this operation as well as a few other ESPN parks around the country, and made some nice modern improvements to the terrain. Highlights include the superb 4 foot by 16 foot spine mini that hips into a 4 foot by 20 foot mini - perfect coping and only as slippery as any other indoor park (read: icy as hell), and the new street setup, complete with a micro half bowl and some real poured concrete ledge action, stairs with banks, removal of the dumb rollerblader banners, and more...hell of a lot of improvements - Bravo Woodward!
