January 11-12, 2005: I love Copper mainly because they allow you to take your snowskate along up ANY lift on the hill - none of this gondola-only crap or some ghetto "snowskate" park! You can bomb the back bowls if you dare!

Copper's park was in excellent shape as expected, but I was bummed to find that the right half, including my personal favorite section, the monster hips-into-the-quarterpipe, was closed off & unshaped. (Click here to see a photo of this section from 2004).

Here's an industry first: How-To Signs!
Copper was the one of the only parks in CO that I visited that even had hips designed into their park. Hey Colorado: Enough of the straight jumps, mix it up a bit! Lord knows it ain't lack of space stopping you out there!
