BLOWER.
Snowboarding inside out. This book blows. But in a good way, like when you're
out on the pond in a dinghy with your girlhy, and the wind, yeah the wind,
blows you nicely across that pond.
BLOWER
is a book about snowboarding, snow, and the lifestyle that surrounds.
It is a visual feast for the eyes, like Old Country Buffet for snowboarders.
It is also a tactile experience, as several of the pages in BLOWER
are embossed, including the cover, which is a nice feature to keep
your grip when KY wrestling or running fast with this book.
BLOWER
is a collage of photography, artwork, video grabs, Burton catalogs from
the past decade or so, and a extra-special, super-neato, my favorito section:
SHAVEMART! Shavemart will have you laughing your ass off...
But wait!
That's not all! BLOWER also comes complete with a special DVD by Jon Boyer,
which holds within its ones and zeros a short, cooly-styled film divvied
up into montaged sections about weather, travel, and action snowboarding.
The soundtrack, by Hiroshi Fujiwara and Will Mimnaugh, features a reoccuring
track of melancholy piano music reminscent of the film "Road to Perdition,"
which is best listened to in the morning with a cup of coffee and a binger
inside of ya.
Hell, this
short 15ish minute film will make your whole day, and fuel the stork, I
mean stoke. BLOWER makes a handsome addition to your coffee table, bookshelf,
or toilet tank.
Blower
originally retailed for like 60 or 70 bucks U.S., but I picked it up for
like thirteen cuz its a few years old now...but you definitely get 70 bucks
worth of multimedic charge with this pile of paper...
