Ballard,
WA Skatepark |
|
|
| Ballard
skatepark, located in the Ballard section of Seattle, WA may be on borrowed
time. The park is in a "temporary location" on city property.
Grindline donated
the bowl, which was built in April 2001. There is an effort to save
the skatepark (and most importantly, the bowl) from being destroyed and
the space to be used as a public garden (Find more about that effort at
sleestak.net). |
|
| The street
area is well worn, but the locals don't mind. Behind the bowl is a
5' mini ramp, which is in good shape. Now the bowl... that thing rocks!
The depth ranges from 5' to 8 1/2'. Pool coping is used for your grinding
pleasure. A must skate while in Seattle! Free to use, pads recommended.
Open dawn to dusk. |
