KICKASS
SKATEPARK BUILDERS |

Salem,
OR Skatepark |
|
|
| This park was fun for
about 5 minutes. A very old park that is overrun with BMXers. Unless
you are really hard up, try to pass this one by and drive the 12
more miles to Aumsville.
The surface is slow and lumpy. It seems someone painted the surface
with a textured paint- a sort of a truck bedliner type of paint.
Each of the large bowls has small sections of coping, and everywhere
else is a roll-in lip. The deepest part is around 4 or 5' deep.
A small street area is located behind the "snake run".
A local told me the Army Corps of Engineers built the street area
many moons ago. It just plain sucks. On the plus side, the park
is free and lit until midnight. |

"This facility was designed and sponsored by skateboarders knowledgeable
about the sport"...anyone care to admit to this? |
