The Knoll Skatepark - Campbell Hall, NY
Pics & Review by The Chraveler - Submit your park here!
this is a real authentic love affair of a skatepark. A far cry from the perfectly built mall parks of today, the Knoll is packed with tons of different sized ramps, trannies, rails, and flatbanks, as well as a six foot miniramp with a tight vert wall section and a stick out four foot section. The floor is rough in spots, the ramps are jammed in tight together, and there are all sorts of little boxes, rails, sawhorses, launch ramps, sofas and other obstacles to move around and position to your liking.
if you are accustomed to riding a wide open, perfectly built park, you very well may hate this park. If you like the challenge of tight trannies that come up quick, you might love this place (like I do). my only complaint is that the mini has some major kinks in the transitions that can mess with you when you're not expecting them. Also, because the park is so small, it can get crowded with just a dozen or so people in it, so watch out for the groms.
the fee is ten bucks, and helmets and a signed waiver are required. the hours for this park are also a little tricky to schedule yourself around. they are as follows: Tuesdays 5pm-9pm Bike Night, Thursdays 5pm-9pm (Skating), Fridays 5pm-9pm (Skating), Saturdays 1-430pm, and 5-9pm (skating), sundays 12-4pm groms (kids) only. Call (845)-294-6964 for more info.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-84 or I-87 (NYS Thruway) to Rt. 17 exit. Take Rt. 17 to Exit 124 (the Goshen/Rt. 17A Exit) Follow signs for Goshen and Rt. 207 East. Follow 207 East through Goshen, past the spookiest friggin house in the world (on your right) for about five miles. Look for the Knoll Farm on your left - all sorts of pigs and ducks and stuff as well as an Amish Barn place. Turn in there, and the park is in the back.

there's also a small shop inside this park
