| One of the older public parks in NYC, this skatepark is ramp central. The ramps are of decent quality but there are no bowl corners or anything spectacularly creative in its design - Brooklyn and Hudson River parks have made those improvements. However, Riverside is free, and only requires a helmet and waiver. Open through the spring, summer, and fall, but hours are something like 10AM-dark weekends and summer and 2PM-dark schooldays... |

| DIRECTIONS: Riverside Skatepark is in Riverside park (der) on the upper west side of Manhattan. Take the Red Lines (1, 9 subways) to 116th st, or drive yer car up Riverside Dr. to 110th Street or so, and the park is due west from there. You can usually park in the neighborhood if you're lucky and then walk to the skatepark from there. |
