Sayreville,
NJ Skatepark |
|
|
| BAM! best
park to hit NYC area in...well...ever! sweet four leaf clover bowl with
pump humps, hips, corners, roll-ins, an escalator, a sub box ledge and a
little bit of an oververt corner extension to spice things up. You can take
a run in this bowl that lasts as long as your legs can. Mini ramps seem
boring after riding this place... |

Holliday, the concrete is so smooth you hardly get a scrape when you
slide out (its also pretty friggin' solid, which is why helmets are posted
as required!). Some critics have complained: "there's no vert!"
My answer: who gives a damn, its better than some horrible
prefabbed park! There's also a small street area with the basics. The
park is free, and open until eleven. That said, the lights are pretty useless
though, so try and get there during daylight hours. NJ Skateshop is right
down the road 'bout a mile south for all your needs. Ask at the park for
directions to their killer shop. |

| DIRECTIONS:
From north, take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 124 (Sayreville). Turn
left, and follow to Washington St. Dunkin Donuts will be on your left. Turn
right onto Washington, and follow that about two miles through town. After
Pizza Hut (on your right), turn right into Kennedy Park (across from the
schools), and the skatepark is in there on the right. Rip it. Look for the
owl. |
