| Centennial
Skatepark - Lawrence, KS |
| |
|
| An average
concrete park with lights and a really nice and fast (but hot as hell ow
ow it burns) black skatelite coated mini ramp. The gap between quarterpipes
(on the left above) is fun. Basic design but better than nothing. The Denver,
CO skatepark needs a warning light before the bigs lights got out like this
park has. Free, no pads, and open in the morning (8 probably) until 11 pee
em! |

| This
steep little flat bank (below) is right outside McDonald's on West 6th/Rt.
40. Eat a Filet-O-Fish, shit yer pants, and ride the bank all within ten
minutes. |
| |
| DIRECTIONS:
Take exit 204 off I-70. Head south on U.S. 40 over the river. Bear
right after river, and follow that street (West 6th Street) watching for
signs for Rt. 59. Pass the turn for Rt. 59, and immediately you will see
lots of trees and other green things on your left. At West 6th & Rockledge,
turn left onto Rockledge, and then left again into Centennial Park. The
Skatepark is in the middle of the place down the hill. |
