This is one of the last 70's style snake run parks left in the US. I heard rumors that it was originally built as a duck pond and someone back in the day decided to drain the pond and open it as a skate spot. Whatever the true story is, it's a fun place to skate!
Located in one of Tampa's housing projects, the Bro-Bowl is somewhere you
shouldn't be after dark. It is an economically depressed area and you should
bring a friend along too... safety in numbers, mkay! I went with a local skater and we encountered no problems. There is a bleacher section under the trees where a few of the homeboys hang out. They kept to themselves, drinking their gin and juice and smoking blunts. A few young kids from the pj's were riding big wheel type toys and they will snake you in the middle of your run. In the middle of the mogul field there is a large storm grate... watch out for it! Free to skate, no supervision... after all it is in the "hood"!
