Edgewood
Skatepark - New Haven, CT |
| |
 |
|
| another
scituate concrete
crap pile...supposedly the biggest park in New England...yay. Not their
worst effort, but still, these guys have no business building skateparks...just
look at their jersey barrier attempt (above right)...completely and utterly
clueless... |
 |
| lots of
extra flat at one end is good for the tech crew and the flatland biker boyz,
but the obstacles are cramped into the other end, and collisions are frequent
when this park gets crowded. I love the 8ft quarterpipe (above left) with
no platform and a chain link fence to impale yourself on behind it...super
safe, mom and dad! |
 |
this
mini sucks ass - double the necessary flat and just look at that tranny
profile! |
|
|
where's
the platform? left behind on the truck |
nipplage |
| |
|
|
|
| here's
the most befuddling part of this park...every other obstacle at this park
(and the other N.E. Skatepark mistakes around the region) has a stupid speed
bump of concrete laid out to mesh with the asphalt (which creates a really
sloppy transition) EXCEPT this pyramid at above left which is laid perfectly
flush with the ground...what the hell? lazy fatsos...bank to wall at above
right could have been better...hell, this entire park would have been ok
had a real skater even advised on the project... |

Take Exit 59 off of I-95. Head south on Whalley Ave. (towards downtown)
to Fitch. St. At light, turn right, and this prefabbed park is in there
in Edgewood Park. |
