| Redstone
Skatepark - Highlands Ranch, CO |
| |
|
| This is the
Highlands Ranch Redstone Skatepark, located in an enormous, cookie-cutter
suburban town south of Denver that barely even existed ten years ago. Sick
park though-above and below: The big-boy snakerun is huge and fast, and
has a dumptruck full of lines. You can charge down into it, carve around,
and then head back up the snake into the street area. |
| |
| Below: The
kiddie bowl at the Highlands Ranch Skatepark is a fun little item but the
trannies are way way way too mellow even for a beginner bowl and it takes
some adjustment. The mini-teardrop spine is good for messing around on.
This bowl is separated by fences from the rest of the park, which keeps
the tykes corraled. Beware if you skate this bowl when the tykes are present-they
tend to drop right in on you in the middle of your run without a clue as
to skate etiquette. Someday they'll learn-Knowledge through Pain Is the
Only Way... |
| |
| This
is the Street Course. It is contructed of with that new type of masonite
deally but is basic and boring and essentially forgettable. |
| |
| Free,
no pads, open Dawn to Dusk (or Normal Hours for Redstone Park) |
| |
| DIRECTIONS:
Take C-470 to the Lucent Boulevard Exit. Head South 1/4 mile to
Town Center Drive, and turn right. Follow Town Center down for about a half
mile, and you will see Redstone Park on your left. |
