Park Skatepark - Englewood, CO |
| |
|
| For a short
time period this was one of the best skateparks in Denver, until the summer
of 2001's barrage of top-shelf concrete superparks into the metro area.
Unfortunately for this park, the two-thirds wood, one-third concrete layout
and its deteriorated condition now drag it down into the "don't go
out of your way" category. The two handrails in the foreground of the
above picture have been removed, and why the hell not?- for there was only
SIX feet of run-up space in front of them. The once-new wood surfaces are
now a shredded mess. On a positive note, you won't find the crowds here
as you would at other newer Denver-area skateparks. Fee: Free - Pads: None
Required - Hours: Dawn to Dusk |

| DIRECTIONS:
Take Belleview Ave west of Broadway (or east from Santa Fe Ave.) for around
a mile, and you will see Progress Park on the SOUTH side of Belleview. Turn
south at the sign, and the park will be at the end of that road on the right. |
