Best
park in Colorado right here in the mountain tinseltown??? Like betting
on the Harlem Globetrotters!- a sure thing, baby! This Team
Pain park is smooth smooth concrete with lines forever throughout
the corners, hips, spines, escalators, pool-cope-topped vert QP and the
stunt ramp launcher of the huge layout. Looking for more burl? Check out
that deep 4-leaf clover bowl! Suck at skating? There's a mellow-trannied
kiddie bowl with a drop-in-aphobe roll-in that spines into the big layout,
yet it's functional enough to give even the most accomplished skater a
woodie over learning switch backside noseblunt reverts (or is it a frontside
half-cab-to-frontside blunt??-I dunno, ask Bob Burnquist) Want blobular
misshapen things made from the leftover concrete to fuck around on? There's
that too, including a mini-pocket thingy. Want street stuff? Sorry, you're
up shit creek-three tiny steps, a curb, the Markovich gap and a flatbar
rail-that's it. But who gives a rat's ass?-the tranny here is world-class!!! |

| My first
time here was Labor Day weekend. There were 50 million volleyball players
next to the park practicing for careers as extras on Baywatch. One ball
bounced into the bowl and hit me. I booted it back out and caught some angry
glances as the inflatable sphere of stupidity flew hilariously close to
a few heads. I hate volleyball. Also, there was some angry asshole there
in brand-new yuppiebiker leather physically forcing his young son to drop
in for the first time ever-into the vert clover! Free, helmets enforced
by bike cops in tight shorts, open till dark, dork. |

| DIRECTIONS:
Take Hwy. 82 south from I-70 at Glenwood Springs for about 45 mins. past
some of the most valuable real estate in Colorado all the way into town-follow
82 the WHOLE way. Once in Downtown Aspen, you will be among some of the
most valuable real estate in the COUNTRY! Turn left after the Hotel Jerome
onto North Mill St. Take first right, and you'll see this beautiful brown
pleasurepile on on your left in Pioneer Park. Appropriately, it's behind
the cop shop and the Pitkin County courthouse. |
