Strawberry
Lodge Pool - Strawberry, CA |
| |
 |
|
If
your travels takes you to Northern California, you have to go to Strawberry
Lodge in Strawberry, Ca (population 50) and skate that pool! The fine
folks
that own the lodge will let you skate for a small fee. A life-time membership
is $20.00 and each session (all day) is $5.00. If you are going to be
a one-
time visitor, the total cost is $10.00, with $5.00 going towards you
membership. That way, if you return 3 times, your membership is paid for.
|
 |
Here
is the deal... if you are the first skater of the day, go into the lodge
and see the bartender or any employee and tell them you want to skate
the
pool. If it is your first time, you must fill out a form and pay your
fee.
They will give you the key to the pool and tell you the rules. You are
responsible for the key, so don't lose it! Go unlock the gate and enjoy!
If you arrive to the lodge and the pool is in full session, don't be a
cheese
dick and try to skate for free. They will check, you will get busted and
the
session will end for EVERYONE! |

|
Helmets
must be worn. If you do not have one, there is a shed next to the
pool with loaners. Also in the shed is brooms to sweep out the pool.
The pool is a big assed ameoba! About 3' in the shallow and around 9'
in the
deep w/ about 1' 1/2 to 2' of vert. The trannies are SWEET! You will fall
in
love with the place. The deep end also features a huge hole where the
light
once lived... watch out for it!
About 50 yards behind the pool is a river where you can cool off. Oh,
Strawberry is about 5800' in elevation, so take it easy or it will kick
your
ass! |
