Redwood City,
CA is located just south of San Francisco. The park, designed
by Wormhoudt
Landscape Architecture, Inc., covering 13,000 sqft, features
a cool combi-bowl and your average street terrain. I had fun skating
the bowl area, but the main flaw is when you use the roll-in feature,
you cannot see the bowl area on the other side of the vert wall.
The designers should have placed the vert wall opposite of the
roll-in. The park is grom infested, and while I was there a few
bikes made an appearance. There are signs posted "No Bikes
Allowed", but that is not enough to deter them. The street
areas are very uninspiring. Like all California skateparks, this
place is "rule central". Pads must be worn. Open from
8am - Sunset (no lights), the park is located in Red Morton Community
Park, 1120 Roosevelt Ave, Redwood City, CA. |
