A
Trip to Hailey, ID, July 1-5, 2004 |
Story
& Photos by The Chraveler |

|
| We
left Boulder bright and early the morning of Thursday July 1 and
headed north to Cheyenne and I-80...Jerry, Bruce & yours truly
in jerry's monte carload, we convoyed across wyoming with Vince
and Lisa in their truck, and Aaron and Ashley in their wagon. FYI:
It takes all day to drive across wyoming on I-80, so bring gum,
firearms, a coloring book, porn, or some other suitable diversion
to keep your mind occupied... |

riding
in the monte carload in the back seat kind of sucked because the
rather large, skydome-type-window roasted you all day long under
the western sun. Can't complain, though, for it was worth the
roasting for the terrain we got to skate all in one trip...we
gossiped like women about all sorts of shit, and listened to beater
tapes of all sorts of punk, metal, rock, new wave, and old wave
music...classic road trip steez! |
jerry
is not a timid driver. All the way across wyoming, he took on
the slow truckers like a true road warrior, swearing and yelling,
swerving and honking the horn until it bled...he did this to every
random slowpoke in a car who clogged up the left lane as well,
all the way across wyoming |

somewhere
near the utah border, we broke off from the convoy, intending
to meet them later in Salt Lake City. We turned south onto State
Route 12FuckYou and drove into the Uinta mountains...we had
a tip on a fullpipe in a dam somewhere up in them thar hills...
